Holy Week & Easter


The pilgrimage of Lent comes to its climax as we arrive at the culminating events of Holy Week, and Easter. 

We invite you to participate with fellow believers and doubters in reenacting, commemorating, and celebrating the Passion of our LORD in the worship opportunities available at Bethlehem Lutheran Church this year.


Worship begins outdoors (weather permitting) with a procession with palms into the sanctuary were the worship service centers around a dramatic reading of The Passion from Luke’s Gospel


Sanctuary open for private prayer & meditation


Small group “Upper Room” communion services held at thirty minute intervals

through the afternoon and evening.  Sign up at the church or call the church office

to reserve a seating

GOOD FRIDAY (April 19th)

7:00 p.m.

Bethlehem’s adult choir along with members of Faith Lutheran’s choir present a Good Friday Choral service of “The Seven Last Words of Christ” as the community marks the sacrifice of Christ on the cross

EASTER SUNDAY (April 21st)

special worship times:

8:30 a.m.Early Festival Eucharist including choirs, bells, the Easter proclamation and Holy Communion

9:45 - 10:45 a.m.  Easter Breakfast provided by Bethlehem Youth.  Freewill offerings support the ELCA Global Farm Challenge.  In lieu of an egg hunt this year each child will receive an Easter “Goodie Bag” to help celebrate the day

11:00 a.m.Festival Eucharist worship including choirs, bells, the Easter proclamation and Holy Communion
